The following outlines Alby Sam LCC dba Home Instead’s pay program.

Pay rates for all employees classified as Care Pros will be hourly, as follows:

Beginning March 1, 2024:

  • Level 1: $17.00 per hour

  • Level 2: $17.60 per hour

  • Level 3: $19.00 per hour

Level 1 care

  • Non-medical companionship

  • Homemaking

  • Personal care services

    • meal preparation

    • medication reminders

    • accompany to doctor visits

    • grocery shopping

    • errands

    • discharge assistance

    • prescription pick-up

    • light housekeeping

    • laundry & linens

    • socializing & encouraging engagement

    • keeping clients safe

    • report & record information relevant to care

    • respite for families

    • mobility assistance

level 2 care

  • Everything listed in Level 1 Care

  • Bathing

  • Dressing

  • Grooming, shaving, and/or oral hygiene

  • Incontinence care, toileting

level 3 care

  • Everything listed in Level 1 Care

  • Everything listed in Level 2 Care

  • Managing behaviors

  • Supplement hospice support services

  • Specialized equipment

  • Dual care/couples care

  • COVID-19 care

Training Pay

All Care Pros will be compensated for “classroom” based training. The training pay rate is $15.69 per hour. There will be no mileage reimbursement for traveling to training. Care Pros must complete Mandatory Training, Home Instead Alzheimer’s and Other Dementia training, Home Instead Personal Care Assistance (PCA) and State of CT – Sexual Harassment Prevention trainings before working with a client.

Pay Dates

  • Pay Dates are the 8th and 23rd of every month.

  • On the 8th, you will be paid for training and/or shifts completed between the 16th to the 31st of the previous month.

  • On the 23rd, you will be paid for training and/or shifts completed between the 1st to the 15th of the current month.

  • If the 8th or 23rd falls on a weekend, you’ll be paid on Friday.

  • If the 8th or 23rd falls on a holiday, you’ll be Friday the day before.

Holiday Pay

Care Pros receive time and one-half their regular rate for the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day

  • Easter Day

  • Memorial Day

  • Independence Day

  • Labor Day

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Christmas Eve Day

  • Christmas Day

Mileage Reimbursement

Care Pros will receive mileage reimbursement of .67 cents/mile for using personal automobile for client errands or to transport clients. Care Pros DO NOT receive mileage reimbursement for driving to and from work.

Referral Bonus Program

Employee Referral Bonus

Employees are eligible for a referral bonus of $500 if an individual they have referred to us is hired. After hired, you will receive $50 after your referral works their first shift, $200 after your referral has been employed with us for 3 months and has worked at least 180 hours. The remaining $250 will be paid to you after your referral has been employed with us for 6 months and has worked at least 360 hours.

Please note: the referring employee must still be employed with the Company to be eligible to receive the bonus.

Client Referral Bonus

Employees are eligible for a referral bonus for any client that he/she refers to the company and receives 100 hours of paid service. The employee will receive a $100 cash bonus when their referral completes 100 hours of paid service. Please note: the referring employee must still be employed with the Company to be eligible to receive the bonus.
